Feeling Jack O’ Lantern

Originally Published on October 1, 2010  Written by Mineko Takada-Dill

angry jack o' lanternI love Halloween. This is an easy and fun Jack O’ Lantern craft to learn different emotions.

1. Cut out a shape of pumpkin out of a cardboard.

2. Cut several different orange papers and fabric into 1” square pieces and glue them on the pumpkin shape cardboard. You may mix Elmer’s white glue with water in order to increase its flow. You may apply the glue with a paint brush.

3. Cut small triangles, half circles for eyes, and mouths out of black paper. Place them onto the orange pumpkin to make different facial expressions. Do you like to have a happy, mad, sad and scared Jack O’ Lantern? Glue them onto the cardboard orange pumpkin. See the examples of different facial expressions.
