Art Therapy or Counseling Issues?
Depending on your problems and your interest, an appropriate form of therapy will be tailored just for you, your child and/or family. Some of the issues may best worked as a part of counseling and sometimes you may benefit most from studio based art therapy. When you contact me, we will further discuss what you are looking for and what is best for you. In the issues pages on this site, primarily the issues for art therapy are discussed as well as how to combine art therapy and talk-therapy depending on the problem area. Please see the counseling page if you prefer talk-therapy (traditional psychotherapy) using your medical insurance.
Art therapy can be used as a part of talk therapy (counseling). Please see the Fee/Sessions Page to know more about difference in Individual , Family and Group sessions. The following are circumstances when art therapy would be an ideal treatment:

- Chronic Illness
- Physical Challenges

- Aging (Dementia, Alzheimers etc)

Adolescents
Teenagers in the process of maturing into adulthood face many challenges along the way. Listed below are just a few of the challenges that teens may face.

Children

- Life Transition and Adjustment Problems (parental divorce, adoption, birth of siblings etc.)
- Depression and Anxiety
- ADHD/ADD
- Grief and Loss
- Anger Management
- Autism and other Neurodevelopment Issues
